We charge what UPS charges. The cost is calculated based on weight, shipping method selected, and distance from shipper to recipient.
We try and estimate the shipping costs on the website, but sometimes it's inaccurate. When we pack and weigh the final package, we check the shipping costs and make adjustments.
The discrepancies really manifests itself when the shipping method is something other than ground. We are working on ways to estimate the shipping more accurately.
